Self-cleaning filter with filtration accuracy from 50 to 5000 microns can be selected, with large filtration area and high dirt-holding capacity, which can be customized by users according to actual working conditions. The shallow sand filter is composed of one or more standard high speed sand cylinder units with unique internal water distribution and water collectors, and has a unique automatic flushing valve, which enables backwashing of multiple standard high speed sand cylinders individually during normal system operation, with fully automatic program control.
