PE Film Category
As density increases, mechanical properties, barrier properties and heat resistance of polyethylene increase. Polyethylene of the same density has different properties due to different film-forming processes. Salivation method results in low crystallinity, high transparency and low turbidity but with more irregular molecular arrangement, leading to smaller barrier property, larger transmittance, lower elongation and poorer tear resistance and crackability.
Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) | Low-density polyethylene has a density of about 0.92 g/cm³. Its film is transparent, heat-sealable, waterproof and moisture-proof but has low tensile strength, large elongation and is prone to wrinkling. Thin films need careful tension control and low drying temperature. It can be divided into types like IPE, CPE and low-foam film. IPE is good for food and clothing bags. CPE has uniform thickness and is used for cosmetics etc. packaging. Low-foam film is for New Year pictures and hand-held bags. |

High-density polyethylene (HDPE) | High-density polyethylene film has better heat resistance and mechanical strength than low-density polyethylene film, and has small tensile elongation. The film thickness is generally above 0.03mm, but the transparency is poor. It is printed on the front side and is mainly used as vest bags, garbage bags and inner lining bags. |
Cross-linked polyethylene | Cross-linked polyethylene Because it has higher heat resistance, tensile strength, heat shrinkage rate and barrier property than other polyethylene products, its uses are further expanded. In 2014, it is mostly used as heat-shrinkable packaging film. |

PP Film

It's mainly produced by extrusion and injection molding, has good mechanical and heat sealing properties, and is widely used in food, pharmaceutical packaging and stationery. It can be divided into non-oriented and biaxially oriented (BOPP) ones based on production processes.
Non-oriented PP film is made by extrusion blow molding or T-die method, with good transparency, gloss and moisture resistance but poor cold resistance, not suitable for frozen food packaging. BOPP film is made by multi-layer co-extrusion and stretching in two directions, has high stability, strength and airtightness, and is widely used in printing and composite films.
