Ostomy bag is used to collect waste from the body when a person has had surgery to create an opening (stoma) from an area inside the body to the outside. This may be necessary due to conditions affecting the digestive or urinary systems. Here are some common reasons for using an ostomy bag:
- Colostomy: Used when part of the colon is removed or bypassed, and waste exits through the stoma in the abdominal wall.
