Using bamboo scoops are organic and totally chemical-free, eliminating the risk of passive toxins.
Soak scoop in cold water for 2 minutes before its first use.

With its slender and elongated shape, the bamboo tea scoop (chashaku) is used for measuring and transferring matcha powder into a tea bowl.
One spoon is about 2g of powder, the exact quantity needed for one serving of matcha or houjicha powder.
Cleaning instructions: use a damp cloth to wipe down the tea scoop after each use. Do not use soap.
