High performance hollow glass microspheres (HGS) are a closed, hollow spherical material with a wall thickness of 1-3 μ m, containing thin gases such as nitrogen and carbon dioxide. Their main chemical composition is alkali lime borosilicate glass. HGS, as a lightweight micron sized resin material filler, can effectively reduce the density of products, improve or enhance their water resistance, mechanical properties, shrinkage rate, and rheological properties. As a lightweight inorganic non-metallic multifunctional material, hollow glass microspheres have excellent properties such as low density, low thermal conductivity, low dielectric constant, high mechanical strength, and corrosion resistance.
HGS, as a high-strength filler, can effectively improve product performance, including:
U effectively reduces component weight and water absorption rate
U products are not easily deformed and have good dimensional stability
U blends well with resin and is easy to process
Reduce resin usage and save costs
The mechanical properties of the product have been improved
