Precautions for using fused gold bowls!

A.   The first use of the crucible is recommended to be placed in an oven at around 100 ºC and baked for 120                minutes to remove moisture;

B.  Before melting gold and silver, evenly sprinkle borax on the bottom of the melting bowl to prevent sticking during        the melting process;

C. The use of a molten metal bowl involves using an open flame to aim at the metal inside the bowl and burning it.         Gas should not be used to burn the bottom of the bowl, as most of the heat transfer is absorbed by the molten           metal bowl, so it cannot reach the melting point of the metal;

D. During transportation, there may be bumps in the fused gold bowl. Quartz fused gold bowls are fragile and can        be used normally if their integrity reaches two-thirds. If you cannot accept bumps, please be cautious and sign
    for them after acceptance. Once signed, it is considered that the product is complete;

E.  When the heating and cooling rate of corundum products is below 1200 ºC, it is recommended to be less than 5      ºC/minute, and above 1200 ºC, it is recommended to be less than 4 ºC/minute;

F.  The speed of heating and cooling is adjusted according to the experimental equipment and the tested substance and properties. Due to the thermal expansion of the raw materials used to produce corundum products, excessive or uneven heating can easily lead to cracking of the corundum products. It is recommended to slow down the heating and cooling speed as much as possible when conditions permit during use, so as to evenly heat it, which will prolong the service life of the corundum products.
