Bimetallic Cable Lug
SOCOME Bi-metal connector are made from the highest quality aluminium and copper joined using a friction welding process.
The barrel is friction welded to the palm thus achieving the best possible transition between the copper palm and aluminium barrel.
The barrels are filled with a jointing compound, which breaks the oxide layers on the aluminium.The type test is follow lEC61238-1
Barrels are supplied capped and filled with jointing compound to avoid oxidation of the aluminum conductor and the material: 99.9% purity copper & 99.5% purity aluminum.
The transition section between aluminum and copper is produced by friction welding,bending 180°,no breaking welding.Barrels are supplied capped and filled with jointing compound to avoid oxidation of the aluminum conductor.
