Product Description

The mechanism of flame retardancy of Aluminum hydroxide is that it decomposes at 200-300 °C, and then dehydrates, absorbing a lot of heat on the surface of the polymer material, which can reduce the surface temperature of the burning material, and dehydrates to produce a lot of water vapor, the decomposition residue of Al2O3 is a dense oxide, which is deposited on the surface of the material, limits the generation of combustible gas, acts as heat insulation and oxygen isolation, and achieves the effect of smoke suppression. And Aluminum hydroxide can absorb acid gas. Aluminum hydroxide is the most widely used filler type flame retardant at a moderate price.
